Hulda AllmerHulda (Sommerfeld) Allmer, 94, of Laureldale and formerly of New Berlinville, died Feb. 27 at ManorCare.

She was the widow of Eduard Allmer.

Born in Germany, she was a homemaker.

Services were private.

The arrangements were handled by the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home Inc., Boyertown.

William M. Hallman

Services were held for William M. Hallman, 79, husband of Doris G (Downer) Hallman of Boyertown, died March 24 in Manatawny Manor.

Born in Limerick, he was a supervisor for 47 years at the Eastern Foundry, retiring in 1993.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Caring Hospice, 400 Commerce Drive, Suite C., Fort Washington, PA 19034 or the Boyertown Area Multi Service, 200 West Spring Street, Boyertown, PA 19512.

Burial was in Union Cemetery, Boyertown.

Malcolm Keenan

Malcolm W. “Max” Keenan, 87, husband of Charlotte J. (Eagle) Keenan, of the Frederick Mennonite Community, died March 24 at Phoenixville Hospital.

Keenan retired in 1983 from the Superior Tube Co., Lower Providence, where he was a welding engineer for 37 years.

A memorial service was held and burial was private in St. James Episcopal Church, Lower Providence.

Contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 3768 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426.

The arrangements were handled by the Holcombe Funeral Home Inc., Trappe.

Ruth H. Weinsteiger

Ruth H. (Kerver) Weinsteiger, 92, Bechtelsville, died March 26 in the residence of her daughter.

She was the widow of Thomas C. Weinsteiger.

She was a sewing machine operator and a volunteer for the Boyertown Multi Service and Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hereford Mennonite Church, Box 97, Bally, PA 19503.

Burial was in Huff’s Union Cemetery, Hereford Township.

Alvin E. Renninger

Alvin E. “Gabby” Renninger (Mr. Aviation), 90, formerly of New Hanover Township and Boyertown, died March 25 at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

He was the husband of the late Amy (Spohn) Renninger.

For 41 years, he worked for the Dana Corporation as a machine operator.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2941 Lutheran Road, Gilbertsville, PA 19525 or Chestnut Knoll, 120 West 5th Street, Boyertown, PA 19512.

Interment with military honors were held in Hill Church Cemetery, Bechtelsville.

Ruby D. Weber

Ruby D. (Gettinger) Weber, 82, wife of the late Jack Weber, died on March 29 at Chestnut Knoll Nursing Home in Boyertown.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Services and interment were private.

The arrangements were handled by the Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Gilbertsville.

Catherine C. Kemp

Catherine C. Kemp, 92, of Bechtelsville, died March 17 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a patient since March 18.

She was the widow of Harvey M. Kemp, who died in 1983.

The Ludwick Funeral Home Inc., Topton, was in charge of arrangements.

Viola M. Arch

Viola M. (Ginder) Arch, 80, formerly of Pottstown and Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown, where she was a resident since 2006 died March 29

She was the widow of Joseph Arch Jr.

Arch was a homemaker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Entombment was in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick.

The arrangements were handled by the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc, Boyertown.

Malcolm E. Christ

Services will be Thursday for Malcolm E. Christ, “Shorty,” 72, husband of Virginia (Weil) Christ, Douglass Township, who died March 20 in his residence.

He was most recently employed by ProTools in Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to either Pottstown Hospital Home Care and Hospice, 1600 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464 or American Cancer Society, c/o Shelly Stockmal, Admin. Asst. National Penn Bank, 400 Creekside Drive, Suite 401, Pottstown, PA 19464.

A viewing will also be held Thursday from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at Limerick Garden of Memories Chapel.

Services will be at 1 p.m. in the chapel with burial in the cemetery.

Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Gilbertsville handled the arrangements.

Daniel L. Reider

Daniel L. Reider, 65, of Pottstown and formerly of Boyertown, died March 30 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

He was the son of Gerline M. (Hartman) Reider, of Bechtelsville and the husband of Evelyn E. (Roberts) Reider.

Reider was employed as a machinist with DANA Corp. for 34 years, retiring in 2000.

Services will be at 11 a..m. Thursday from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, Pottstown.

There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
